Rita is a beautiful 20 month old medium-sized German Shepherd. She walks well on leash, coming out of the kennel very excited and ready to go! She is always happy and loves meeting new people. A confident and dominant female, she is reactive towards other dogs. With some correction given by her handler, she was able to walk with two other dogs, but not too closely and not without barking. Rita is a sweet, loving girl with humans, much desirous of cuddling. At the current time she is not a candidate for dog play groups but our kennel techs are working to improve her behavior. This girl also jumps and climbs fences so a condo or apartment may be perfect for her as she needs to be on leash or supervised when she is outside. Rita is house-trained and knows her “sit” command. A very loving girl with adults, Rita needs a strong handler, in a household with no other dogs or small children.
